Looking for a more refined driving experience than that offered by other aftermarket Urethane Engine Mounts, HPA set out to develop a solution which would offer its 565HP twin turbo creations the crisp powertrain engagement of a Nurburgring prepared R8, with the vibration free idle of a Veyron.

Recognizing the engineering that went into the OEM side mounts, it was easy to isolate the weak link. The lower mount is charged with managing the entire torque shift of the engine throughout braking and acceleration.
In the OEM design, we found the aluminum arm and stamped steel bracket to be strong enough to manage the forces applied to it, and although the rubber insert effectively dampens vibrations, it leaves a somewhat "sloppy" feel of engagement.
Focusing our engineering efforts on how to improve this component, the unique Core Interlock* design was born to balance the Mk5's sensitive chassis harmonics while maintaining a comfortable feel of the engine at idle.
Designed in house and installed on every HPA creation dating back to the RGT Jetta and Passat, HPA's Core Interlock* motor mount works in a harmonic relationship with our proprietary durometer of urethane to effectively dampen the engine's vibrations while efficiently controlling the energy transfer between the engine and the subframe under acceleration and braking.
The Urethane's 100% mechanical integration with HPA's vertebrae-like Core Interlock* creates an ultra efficient means to offset the torque of the engine against the thrust section of the mount.
Unlike the urethane inserts which merely reinforce the OEM rubber mount, this is a completely re-engineered one stop solution that will control the engine's motion without the need to install aftermarket side mounts. The ride comfort is retained, but the shift response and chassis feel is vastly improved.

Since I’ve gotten this I’ve really noticed the reduction in engine movement thus reduction in wheel hop! The cabin vibrations were certainly much more noticeable, paired with an aftermarket pendulum mount, but overall this made me feel a lot more “connected” to the car, and personally I actually enjoy feeling the car a little more aggressively. Aside from that, the durability has been second to none compared to some other inserts I had previously; this is literally a solid piece that COMPLETELY fills the dog bone area and replaces the stock mount, as opposed to just being an insert. Overall this was a wonderful upgrade for the money.
After reading and reviewing a ton of posts on all of the mounts/inserts out there for my MK5 GTI, I ended up emailing HPA about this mount. To my surprise, Daryl replied to my question about the different types of mounts in about 30 minutes and was very detailed about why I should go with the 75A mount. I was so impressed with the customer service that I purchased the mount immediately from HPA even though another site had it slightly cheaper. I'm so happy with how much better this mount feels after installing it. The install of the new mount was super easy, however, the removal of the old mount was a major pain. A big thank you to HPA and if you're on the fence about mounts, buy this one, it is definitely worth it.
I purchased HPAs 90a puck for my 2012 MK6 GTI and I can't say enough how great it is for eliminating wheel hop. The install was quite easy and straightforward. I would recommend this to anyone!
I've had this mount in my mk5 R32 for 5 years now and the mount made an instant difference. It really tightened up the shift feel and engine movement. I highly recommend the mount. I also noticed no change in NVH.
This is a great cheap upgrade! I am not very mechanically gifted and was able to install it myself. The hardest part was getting the OEM one out. The new one slid right in. Great product, made a difference in how the car acts. Highly recommend!
