Important Update: New UPS International Fee Starting June 2, 2025
UPS has announced a new International Collect on Delivery (ICOD) Fee that may impact U.S. customers receiving international shipments.
What’s changing?
Beginning June 2, 2025, any duties, taxes, or government fees not paid before delivery will incur an additional $12 USD ICOD Fee, charged to the recipient at the time of delivery.
How to avoid the fee:
-
Prepay duties online using Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover).
-
Ensure accurate contact information (name, phone number, email) is provided with your order so UPS can notify you and provide a payment link.
For more details, please refer to the UPS U.S. Rate and Service Guide.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
Brokerage, Duty, or VAT may be imposed by the importing country, and these charges will be the sole responsibility of the recipient.
TARIFFS & IMPORT DUTIES
The majority of HPA products are proudly manufactured in Canada. Under the USMCA free trade agreement, most of these Canadian-made items are currently exempt from U.S. import tariffs.
However, certain products—particularly those manufactured in Germany or overseas—may be subject to import duties or tariffs upon delivery. These charges are assessed by U.S. Customs and are not included in your checkout total. Customers are responsible for any such fees incurred at the time of import.
Please note: Canadian customers will not face any cross-border fees when ordering directly from HPA.
OTHER SHIPMENT FEES
Please be aware that additional import-related charges may apply to your shipment. These can include, but are not limited to, duties, brokerage fees, disbursement fees, the ICOD Fee (see above) and import tariffs (see above) as assessed by UPS or local customs authorities. Any such fees are the sole responsibility of the recipient and must be settled directly with UPS prior to or upon delivery.
For more details, please refer to the UPS U.S. Rate and Service Guide.
SHIPPING DAMAGE
All orders are shipped insured against loss or damage in transit. It is important that you inspect your package with the driver present and denote any suspected damage at time of delivery. Damage should be reported to the carrier immediately.
