HPA is proud to offer an OEM+ IS38 Turbo that addresses all the reliability concerns plaguing the OE IHI IS38. This is a perfect service part for blown IS38 turbos, or a great upgrade for GTI owners looking to upgrade their IS20. This turbo has a fully upgraded and redesigned bearing system used in our 450hp and 500hp hybrid turbos along with custom billet compressor wheel and inconel wategate flapper. Pre-set out of the box with an OEM installation kit, these are a true plug and play solution. To unleash the true potential of your 2.0T, the K04 turbo that is equipped on the Golf R / S3 is a much more robust choice than the factory equipped IHI (KO3) turbo, which runs out of breath mid-way in the RPM range. The HPA K04 upgrade offers a higher operational boost range, while still working with the stock componentry; making for a natural and cost-effective upgrade. This K04 Hybrid conversion allows for a seamless integration, without the need for custom fabrications or aftermarket diverter valves.HPA is one of the only suppliers that has race proven our K04 turbo kits.
